vtec problem need help bad bad bad

Default vtec problem need help bad bad bad

Ok just swapped a b16a into my 92 civic hatch si and vtec wont work and it is idling like ruff ruff don't know y new to all this stuff so what i am asking is for some one to tell me what all does vtec need to work.

my motor is a b16a with a eldelbrock victor x intake manafoild i was told that is why it is idling bad is that true????

do you have any Check Engine Lights (CELs)?? are all your vacuum hoses connected properly and to the right spots? could be a number of reasons for a bad idle. is it idling rough?? idling really low?? need a little more info than "ruff ruff"

does the motor have any work done to it that it hasn't gotten tuned for?? like cams or anything like that?? adjustable cam gears (doesnt require tune, but just an added part that couldve thrown something off)?? is the timing ok?

It is low but then again it wont stay at a rpm at all and ya i have a cel i know one is for a 02 and a map sensor i think and when you drive it is bogs out bad bad idk i changed intake manafoilds back to a stock one i am trying to sale the edlebrock so i can get a skunk but ya i was told that what the problem was i haven't but the stock back on yet

get a new o2 sensor cause that could cause the car to bog down and idle bad, and same with the map sensor...get them both changed out, reset your ecu, and then see if anything changes.

ok would it run like crap if the chip in my ecu is burnt up??? jw cuz i looked in there and it is brunt arount it but idk ya i am changing those out to day


does any one know of a good shop in cali ??? i am in bakerfeild cali
