Wasn't sure where to post this so hope this is right.

Need to get some gauges for my Jeep but I want something a little out of the ordinary.
I've narrowed it down to either the Defi Defi-Link Meter BF or the Autometer Nexus line.

Checked out a lower shop that carries both (price is in par with what I've seen on line plus no shipping cost) and asked the sales guy his opinion. He said that the two don't compare, Defi is like a Benz and Autometer is like a Kia, plus Defi is Nippion-Seiki and they make all the factory gauge clusters for Honda/Acura, etc. He also told me that the Nexus line has a habit of breaking down.

So I thought I'd post up and get some opinions or info. I've been searching via google and haven't found much in regards to the Nexus line.
Any help would be great, I don't want to buy a gauge that craps out in a few months.

For the the record the gauges I need are:
Trans Temp (Defi doesn't make one so an oil temp will do)
Oil Pressure
Water Temp

 

Both are very nice! The Autometer Nexus line has allot of cool features that the Defi's do not. I have 5 of the BF defi's myself and have never had one problem with any of them. On the other hand if one of them did go out I have a feeling I might have a hard time getting it replaced. Autometer on the other hand has a really good warranty and I have always heard they take good care of there customers.

 

I hear you on the warranty issue.
Autometer only has a 12 month warranty, not sure about the Defis.
