boosted prelude = a problem :(
hey whats up guys. i hardly post on here but im always scanning the pages for info. i have a 92 honda prelude si with a jdm h22a and have just installed a t3/t4 turbo. when it was first installed i threw a map sensor and vtec pressure switch codes. once i got it street tuned there were gone. after the tune my car was running awesome! but now whenever it goes to vtec it tends to hesitate and it feels slloooooow in the high rpms
its NOTHING to what it was when i first got my car back from the tune. its super slow now. i throw no CEL. and i know that this has to be a vtec problem. im running on 450cc blue top dsms. no upgraded fuel pump yet. i changed the oil. i cleand my vtec solenoid so im running out of ideas. vtec is wired good too. ive been told maybe its my rod bearings? that im loosing oil pressure for vtec. please help! thanks!

Fuel pump needs to be upgraded soon, your gonna kill it if its the stock 16 year old fuel pump lol.
So hows your oil level though? Does it get low fast? How is your oil pressure anyway?

yeah i know. im ordering one this week. it seemed like my oil went down pretty fast since my last oil change. i had to add 2 quarts last week. but then this week i did the oil change so its good now. how can i check my oil pressure?
mechanical oil pressure gauge will tell you how much pressure you have. also what kind of fuel management are you using because if its hondata you can burn up either the injectors or your ecu by using dsm injectors.
your not using the same exact oil as you did before your turbo was installed are you. if i am not mistaking, turbos need thicker oil. also you need to get a real tune with a dyno and not a street tune. you could do damage if not properly set up.
I don't know what system you are using to tune it but I run CROME on my boosted lude and have never experienced such. My friend who has a boosted h22 is using Hondata s200b and he had the exact same issue with no cels, his problem turned out being that his wire had came loose from the Hondata box and wasn't having a good connection. IDK, maybe this is a possibility with your car.

That will usually throw a CEL when the s200b box is not hooked up. It will also throw it in a 4000rpm limp mode.
