Default timing problems

Distributor is advanced all the way and timing is only at 14 degrees, should be at 16 degrees before top dead center. All timing marks line up at the cam gear and crank pulley. Need help getting it to 16 degrees before top dead center... I just replaced the tensioner and the belt is tight... please help me out.... thanks

Are you timing the engine with a jumper wire on the service connector?

If so, double check that the cam and crank are synchronized at TDC.

Timing marks line up but rotor on distributor is slightly pointing past the number one plug wire terminal
