I have been ignoring my throw out bearing screaming, and now it cause my car to stall. I force it not to stall and the clutch starts to smoke.
Could it just be the throw out bearing or the entire clutch system? I took it to Honda and the usually tell me what will cost the most!

I'd also recommend pennzoil synchromesh gear oil as your transmission fluid.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'll go ahead and recommend against syncromesh for your MTF. Honda fluid is made for honda transmissions with OEM honda seals and OEM honda bearings.
Unless you have some grinding problem, and you're willing to risk other things getting screwed, don't use it. Keep in mind, for those of us with helical LSD units, Honda also took those into account when they designed their MTF. Pennzoil did <u>not.</u>

How long was your throwout bearing making noise. When I put my motor in my car, 14,000 miles ago, I replaced the clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing (not OEM). The throwout bearing was never correct and it has made a bit of a racket the whole time. The noise hasnt gotten any louder but I am worried about doing damage. My father's brand new Jeep did this same thing from the factory from day one and it never affected a thing for the 30,000 miles that he owned it. In my case and my fathers Jeep's case it was a chatter and not a scream but I want to know if it is something that I should address or can it be ignored until I do my H22 swap someday?
are you sure that the release bearing is your problem ? Why do you think this ? I am not saying its not, just trying to look further into the problem and maybe make things easier for everyone to diag.

I've NEVER had any problems with Pennzoil Synchromesh gear oil...not in my current 2 integras and 93 prelude, nor any of my past integras/civics/preludes/crxs. None of them had LSD, so I am unsure about its use in LSD transmissions.
I can't say I've ever seen or heard of any problems on other people's cars either.
I can say I've had lock-ups and grinds with Honda MTF, and many other fluids.

well my friend, who i helped do his h22 swap had put synchromesh in his transmission right before we installed the engine/transmission, and it sounded like it had straight cut gears, it howled like a bear on acid.
needless to say we switched it to honda mtf and it completely eliminated the sound and it has been quiet for 1.5 years.
this is my only experience with synchromesh so far and it was a bad one

buy HONDA mt fluid, its designed for our transmissions and its seals, and its no more money then syncromesh.
