noises when shifting in my em1
Alright fellaz, im really tired of this so before i go out into the cold garage, i'd like to have an idea of what to look for.
So whenever i shift it is almost like a clicking noise into gears. It is pretty sloppy shifting now too. I was thinking maybe bushings are shot. Perhaps its tranny fluid is low... what do you guys think before i start aimlessly searching. All of it is stock. So again, it is kind of like a clicking noise and is kind of rough going into gears, and 5th gear is probably hardest to go into. i sure hope my synchro's are okay...
Any help would be nice!

Synchros usually cause grinding at high rpm shifting. Then start working their way until shifting grinds at any RPM. I read somewhere here that when its difficult to shift INTO gear, like for example into FIRST coming out of your garage, it could be a clutch thats not fully disengaging. I doubt your issue has anything to do with synchros. Does your clutch pedal feel any different from how it felt BEFORE this symptom? If it feels softer, you could have air in your system. I'm no tranny guru. . I've just read around a million threads here in H-T
Good luck!

yeah.. thats good, cuz its not like that at higher rpms... my stock clutch is probably the cause then, cuz it does kind of feel softer! I'm just waiting for a good paycheck that doesn't just make a carpayment and fill my car up with gas!
anybody else?!
anybody else?!
