it helps stabailze the voltage. because when you drive the wind that hits your car produces unwanted voltage. which you dont want it pretty much just makes the electricle system work better.

Are you serious?

Its used to ground the car, so you don't have unwanted static electricity. In other words, you won't get shocked getting out of your car.

Don't waste your money, it's for phobes that don't want to blow up at the gas sation by shocking the fuel pump.

Do you watch the news? ever heard of anyone blowing up at a gas station using a cell phone or because they didnt discharge their static? Gimme a break, all those homos are just trying to sell you something that makes you feel safe.

lmfao so "it helps stabailze the voltage." and "makes the electricle system work better" ????

It doesn't stabalize the voltage.
It doesn't make the electrical system work better.

It grounds out the car so when it builds up static electricity while driving, you don't get shocked getting out of the car...

Still a waste of time/money in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat.

LOL. You won't need this in Hawaii. I've never been static shocked since I've been here.

actually your kind of wrong, when i was in college i had to do a report on this. when at the gas pump you can cause a fire with the static electricity. it will take a **** load of it first and is hard to do. the people this has happened to, just call them unlucky. as for a cell phone, thats a lie. you can't ignite the fuel vapors with it.

but, back to the topic. yeah it's garbage and a waste of money.

I think the only real danger you have there is igniting the fumes, thats the only part of unleaded that will catch like that. Try dropping a match into a puddle of unleaded, wont light. Fumes are explosive, not the fuel. Ever seen that movie where the guy in the mask uses a gas station pump as a flamethrower? So wouldnt work, Mythbusters.

Kinda a cool item. I don't know how many time's I've been shocked getting out of my car, BUT kooky none the less.

He just wants the look. I've seen it as well. Nothing wrong w/ that. Make one as some one suggested. In the end it's nicer cause its custom.

Pep Boys or someplace like that sell thick grounding straps. Post some pics when your done.
