we just swaped a h22 in a ek hatch 96 we converted it to obd1 and the car is on a p28 chipped for the setup also have a skunk2 program neways the car ran mint now all of a sudden i switched out a 96-99 civic cluster with rpms and now the car wont shift past 6800-7200 car is deff in limp mode, what could be the reason its in limp mode? can anyone help me?

i thought the ecu chip went bad so i tried my skunk2 and its havein the same prob when redlin on both chips are 9200rpms

6800-7200 rpms is deffinetly not in limp mode . limp mode is like 3500 rpms at most.

And it didnt have this problem with the last tach? Sounds like the tach is off then if your for sure your redline is higher then where its hitting.

 

ya didnt do it with the othr tach for the auto bc we did a auto to stick conversion, never had the problem, neways its not even throwing any codes and it wont rev up past l ike 7200 weird i checked groundss ecu umm wires the vss and oil levels etec. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP LOL

My suggestion: Get an aftermarket tach and see what that reads.
