ok so when i drive i get to like 3000rpm and the car just cuts out there is nomore gas i can put the pedal to the floor nothing. i let it slow down and give it gas again and it does the same. about 10 min later the car completely stalls. i let it sit for about 30 minutes and it starts up and drives like nothing was wrong for about 15-20 minutes and then starts all over again. any ideas??? i already swapped the fuel pump.

 

check your plugs and timing.

 

did you do a motor swap or did it just started doing this out of the blue???

 

ive had the motor in the car for a few monthes. juat recently did a tune and chaned the plugs after the tune. i ha an oil change done yeasterday and it started acting funny shortly after that. by the way it is an lsvtec swap if that matters

 

Make sure you did not installed the wires wrong...it will give you misfires, and if not, make sure your wires are not going bad.

 

how do i know if the wires are going bad? i know they are on right. should i just replace them?

 

If you had your wires on wrong it would feel obviously wrong at all times I believe. How's the idle? Any CEL'S? Also maybe one of your plugs was busted/broken.

 

ok so i just got home from changing the plugs and wires. none of te plugs were broken but they are really black wah tdoes that mean?? and they have only been in for a month at most. also no cel's, and the idle is good better now with the new plugs and wires. it is still cutting out too. so i am lost with what is going on.

 

Search around on how to read spark plugs. I BELIEVE blackness = very rich mixture. Maybe somethings' wrong with your tune? Anyways, I'm out. . . I'm not being much help. Hopefully one of the H-T Gurus will see this and help you!

ok i think im going to try 2 more things tomorrow then if it doesnt fix im sending it back to the shop so they can fix it. im going to change the fuel filter and run an additive in my fuel, i filled up the same day the problem started so maybe bad gas. was also my first time using their gas. its wierd because at the end of my tune the car liend out a little and they told me to replace the pump. so i thought that migh have been it but it wasnt.

 

any more ideas its till acting up.
