Default need help on my alarm

Hey guys, I need some help with my alarm. When I unlock or lock the door, the alarm doesn't beep, but the alarm is still active because when it is locked and I use my key to unlock the door, the alarm will go off. I don't want to go to the dealership cuz they will charge me. I just need to know how to make it beep when I lock/unlock the door. So, does anybody know how to fix this problem? I looked in the manual book and it doesn't say how to fix it. So please help me out. This alarm is from acura.
I drive a 2001 Integra Type R

It would be helpful to know exactly what alarm you have.

Is it a siren or the cars horn that "goes off" when you trigger the alarm? 94

So did the horn ever "chirp" when you armed/disarmed the system?

Does the remote look like this... http://www.ikeyless.com/produc...58355 ?

Is there anything about the alarm in your cars owners guide?

The alarm programing guide may be a separate manual, you may be able to get one from a dealer, or at least have them print programing instructions for you.

I am not that familiar with the 01 Integra oem alarm, however OEM alarms that do not "chirp" the horn when you arm/disarm are very common, some have no chirp at all others will only chirp when you try and arm a system that is already armed and/or when disarming an already disarmed one.

Maybe someone with an oem alarm will chime in. 94

I'll say this. Op don't end up like your friend. Oem factory alarm does nonething for your itr to keep it safe. Its on the factory horn for christ safe. And why does that suck? Because on a teg you can unplug it from the fron bummper . Do yourself a favor and get a aftermarket alarm installed correctly before you become a victim.

There's not going to be any Type R's left when I'm finally able to afford one.
