Just changed clutch and flywheel but appears to be slipping..
Change my clutch and flywheel about 6 months ago. Car was acting fine but just recently I noticed if I floor it on 4th and 5th sometimes it will slip.. I noticed it more on warmer days... Could my clutch or flywheel need to be replaced again? Using a stage 3 clutchmaters clutch and clutchmasters flywhell.
never really floored the car till recently. kept the rpms really low. today was a much hotter day and u know wat? no slipping.. WEIRD!!
one way you can check for a bad disk is put your car in like 4 gear and floor it. if the rmps go up and you go no where, you have two possible problems. one, break in was bad and you messed up your disk or your main seal gave way and oil has now coated your disk.
slipping is sporadic... I'm starting to think that the main seal bad and there is oil everywhere. I dont remember replacing the seal and when i opened it there was oil everywhere. I thought the oil was coming down from a leak in the head gasket which was replaced. I didnt rev high for the first 3000 miles so i doubt its a break in problem. If it is a break in problem is there any how to fix it?
if its a breakin, you glazed the disk. i am new to 5 spd so i don't know if its possible. if it is it will take time to wear down the glazing, othewise all i'd know is to just replace it.

i know I'm having tranny problems because of grinding and weird sounds while driving in certain gears. I am getting a deal on a h23 tranny so once I do the swap I will check all seals and clutch. If there is oil then I'm going to have to clean the clutch and flywheel really good. Thanks for all the information everyone!

sounds like an improper break-in problem
