Good header, good intake, more compression, good cams. And all the supporting mods for it. There is more then one way to achieve 200 WHP.

I don't remember clearly, but I think he made slightly below 200? Not going to reread all 30+ pages to find out.

My build got me a little over 200WHP and with a better header (i.e. SMSP) I could see 210 being very likely.

thanks for all the reply's...

i would never turbo a itr motor... before i first did the swap i was going to get a b16 and turbo that.. but ive had enough with turbo motors i wanted something all motor and fun to drive on the scca course and in the mountains...

im probably going to get rid of my crome and get ectune for a better engine management and order me a header.. i liked the rmf header but ive read enough horror stories about them to make me decide on not getting one, maybe ill order a bisimoto header or a smsp header havent really decided yet..

anyways thanks again

I made a thread on how I made 227whp/144tq on CAT's Dynapack. Made it on a stock block JDM ITR setup.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1581324

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by GUILOTINE &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well as many of you remember at my last dyno session where I tested the J's racing intake vs. the AEM CAI CAT recommended head-work and that I upgrade to a better header. I was able to locate a clean spare '00 ITR which I sent to Tom Fujita at Portflow for his race treatment. I was hoping to break the 230whp, but am still very happy with the results. Tom at CAT had to clean alot of the Air-fuel ratio because it was all over the place. Tom did an excellent job with all our cars.

Here's a break down of the setup...
Motor:

'00 JDM ITR stock short block
'00 ITR head with Portflow competition head-work (full race port, full radius valve job, fully polished combustion chambers, head milled .010)
Buddy Club flat faced valves
Buddy Club springs and retainers
Buddy Club spec IV cams and gears
Buddy Club thin high-compression head-gasket
Comptech Fully ported ITR Intake manifold
Hondata insulated Intake manifold gasket
Max Bore tapered bore ITR throttle body (70mm-65mm)
OBD2 prelude 290cc injectors
Benen High-flow fuel rail
SX fuel pressure regulator
Earl's high-flow fuel filter w/ custom steel braided fuel lines
Hytech 1.8L production header
Modified J's racing test pipe
Buddy Club Spec II cat back
CTR N1 racing pulley
Mugen Baffled oil pan
Buddy Club grounding kit.
NGK spark plug wires

Transmission
'98 JDM ITR spec Spoon tranny
ATS 4.9 final drive
Kazz 1.5 way LSD
Exedy ultralight flywheel
Exedy 3-puck thin race clutch

if i was going to do that.. i would just buy a b20 block and put my type r crank rods and some rs machines 84mm itr pistons and sell the r block... but im not really looking to tear into the bottom end that much just yet.. i just wanna see what it can do with cams nice header and a tune maybe a little headwork im not sure yet... honestly 200whp is my goal.. not really looking to make more then that yet..

reason i started this thread, i just wanted to see what everyone did to make that power, basically im just looking at different setups and i want to try to match all my parts together
