does anyone know where or if there is a port to plug in a scanner ?
if you know or if you know why my speedo when im driving goes crazy and S light is on flashing i know the s light is for the shift points but i dont know i have a short or fuse blown im not sure i would like to scan it but i dont know where the port is or if there is one car is a 1990 accord f22a1 automatic trans

 

Your car is OBD1 no port to plug in a scan tool; you can go to the passenger side kick panel and behind it find a blue 2 pin connector.
Jumper that connector and turn on the key to get a "flash" code from the CEL.
long blinks =10s
short blinks=1s
Looking into the crystal ball, I see a code 17 in your near future. LOL
The usual reason for the speedo not working and a CEL is the Vehicle Speed Sensor [VSS]
Because your problem is intermittant, check that the connections are sound.
The VSS is located on top of the differential, straight down from where the breather tube meets the throttle body. 3 wire connector

ok i just went out in the 8 inch snow we get when its supposed to be spring and checked for cel codes i got 17 and 15 vss and ignition output signal i tried to locate where the vss is on the diff and didnt see it its like 20 degrees and blizzarding but i have no idea where the ios is located anybody have any info .. thanks in advance ...........................................honda-tech FTW !!!!!! thanks guys and gals
