Default leaking coolant question-will it stop?

i just replaced my water pump a couple days ago and it is leaking coolant...i cleaned the area up and torqued the bolts down to spec, crossed torqued...

when i removed the old one i did see that there was green around the old gasket(on the pump itself)...will coolant clog the small leak from drying up when the car is off in between the gasket??? or what should i do to stop it?

no coolant sould deffenatly not be leaking. Your gasket must not be sealed rite. Im not sure though without looking at it but i know it souldnt be leaking

It will continue to leak until properly fixed or you run out of coolant.

I have used a radiator stop leak, and it worked, but that was for a small leak, and it sounds like you have a major leak. Give the radiator stop leak a try, but be prepared to take everything apart, and I would plan to buy a new water pump gasket instead of re-using the one currently on the car.

You might have pinched the gasket when you put it on? Good Luck!
