I hate offset questions....:(
just wanted to cross post this since it is ITR related.....
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2255539
o.k. I understand the basics of offset....
i.e. the higher the offset # the further the wheels sit inside the wheel well.... and the lower the # the farther out it sits....
I know that jdm 16's are 16x7 50 offset, so I am faily certain I would have no problem w/ the 48 offset....
.
how much of a difference does offset make over a 10mm span in offset....40 offset vs 50 and 1 inch wider rim
I am looking at two different wheels....
both are 16x7
one has a 40 offset and the other a 48
I will be running 215-45-16 azenis....
the 40 will obviously sit further out and the 48 will sit more inward of the wheel well.....
Will either rub?
this is on a stock height ITR
eventully, I would like to replace the stock shocks w/ koni yellows and maybe set them on the lowest perch....
Will either wheel rub then? I dont want to have to modify the wheel wells either.....
sorry for such a noob question, but i want to order the most ideal offset......
Thanks
after typing this and looking at a tape measure 10mm does not seem like it will make a big difference......
but I would still like input......
Thanks again

with stock height i am pretty sure you will have no problem with the 40 offset, once lowered i think you will still be fine with little to no rubbing

he is running 40 with a 7.5 wide rim and lowered with barely any rubbing

10mm equates to be about 0.40"
A 40 offset will be fine (with your wheel setup).
I have a 17x7.5 with a 215-40-17 and have no rubbage. Some of it depends on how aggressive your camber is setup.

i run 16x7 +45 Spoons with 215/45R16 RT615s and i rub ever so slightly on Spoon coilovers set to no finger gap on stiff. no rolled fenders or camber kit either. so if u don't plan on lowering much, +40 with those tires would be the way to go.

you're better off asking the hardparker in the cos/app forums though, cause only those guys would know how to tuck 8.5" wide wheels in a fwd honduh

i gotta admit though, the VS-KFs look awesome on this integra
