painting garage floor.
Hi guys, this may b a little off topic, but I'm painting my
garage floor 2 nite. I was wondering If I can spray the paint
through a gun or should I roll it on? I haven't seen the paint.
my girl just bought 2 gals of battle ship gray.

Unless you have an airless sprayer, you might as well roll it on.
Make sure your paint is GARAGE rated. Most FLOOR paints are not garage rated and will peel when you park a car with hot tires in there. Not to mention those paints are not usually chemically resistant and will probably scratch/chip easily from tools and jacks.
Make sure there is no sealer on the cement or else your paint will fail rather quickly. If it is a super smooth finish, you may need to acid etch.

How do I know if there is any sealer on the floor? I don't have an airless gun, but I have a devilbiss gun with a 1.8 tip I could use 2 spray with. I havent seen the paint yet, but I do know it is garage floor paint and not just regular floor paint.
Best bet is to take a cup of water and sprinkle or flick some water in various spots. If it beads up, you have sealer. If it soaks in, you're good to go. Try this in a bunch of areas including the corners of the garage.
I would recommend rolling it on. Refilling that gun and thinning it down is going to be more hassle than its worth. Just get a broom handle and screw that into the bottom of the roller frame so you don't have to bend over. Its really not that bad.
Oh yeah, make sure you CLEAN the floor before you paint. Before I left SW (one week ago), a factory painted their work areas and didn't clean first... The paint was literally coming off in massive sheets a few days later.
