Hey whats up guy i just go myself a 93 civic hatch and i ordered the jdm console for it i was tryin 2 see if anyone has a Double din tv in there car and hows it look... i really wanna put one in put if it dont look right im not goin 2 let me know how u did yours... thanks guys

 

when i opened this thread i thought u wanted to install a double din without the jdm consol and i was about to flame you lol (truth hurts) but yea u need the jdm console i saw a picture of some kid that has it in his bubble a couple weeks ago but cant remember where that picture is but i loved it the fitment is good and u dont see it much... if i had an eg hatch i would do the same

 

if anyone can find pics just so i can see it frist i tryed searchin it put i cant find much...

Fitting in the console is good, I believed my installer had to chop at it a little, but it looks great!

 

yea i dont think its a direct fit but still easy work and the outcome is beautiful... and like i tell everybody with an expensive radio.. consider some light tints for security reasons

i feel its so retarded to have the screen that low in the car

either your shift ***** gonna be in the way all the time and your gonna have to bend your head a considerable amount to focus on the screen, directing you away from traffic

 

Ya good points, but Im only looking for an easier location to adjust the radio while driving, (since my hands already on the stick shifter) the screen portion would ideally be higher in the dash, but space is slightly limited, unless I follow my dreams and move the ac/heater controls...all I need is a dremel lol. Anyone have pix of a dbl din ANYWHERE in the eg/ej?

 

Who needs 2-DIN? Here's the OEM JDM 1-DIN TV - judge for yourself if it's a better setup than the one in the lower console. Not bad for early 90's technology.

Awesome find DeSchlong..saved that pic for my OEM folder..I cant beleive it was avail thru the dealer.

i did a double din in my 93 i wanyed it to stay up top so i took out the climate control and cut out the ash tray and cig lihter spot and now the climate controls all mounted their and looks great as well as my double din in the top but you will have to do alot of fiberglass work to make it look and fit right. have un and good luck

id like to relocate my climate control and eliminate my head unit - then use that space for an ipad mini - and use ipad mini with a parrot mki9000 and a rockford fosgate 3sixty.3 to replace my head unit.

Hopefully i wont have to get the jdm double din center console to do this... but i wonder if the climate control will fit in the jdm double din center console? Is that where you put your climate control Thad93civic? This way, climate control would be down low and the tv/ipad will be up high. Please post pics.

This is in the location of the ash tray and the cig lighter u still get the po ket below as well with the way i did it cost about $7 in bondo and $15 in fiberglass

 

hey I have a doube din center console. I want to move the climate controls down to it and but the screen where the climate controls are orignally at. Any ideas? or help u could give me? If you put up an add on ebay saying you would do that for double din center consoles then I would pay for it and send you my double din and climate controls.

 

plastic welding, bondo work, sanding, relocating and extending. Nothing to it.
