Default new owner and new to this site

hello im a noob to the import/tuner builder i just bought a 89 honda CRX the guy told me it had a motor swap to a ZC motor how can i tell if it is really a ZC motor it is a SOHC 1.6L also can i put a DOHC cam system on it. i am also talkin to a guy on e-bay for a carbon fiber hood and hatch plus the DOHC system for 1000 bux is that a good deal??

on the front of the block on the left as you look at it. the modle number for the block is stamped about half way down. also you have a D series block if it is a single cam. you can not put a B series head (dual) onto it. you will have to do a motor swap. also depends on what your buying for 1000. good luck to you. also read alot and do do anything rash take your time with your build. you will make alote of changes before you are done.

the motor has already been swaped im tryin to find out what kinda motor it is. The guy told me it was a ZC motor how do i check if it is??

if you look to the left of the header there will be a number stamped there d16z6, b16a, h22 etc...or in your case the letters ZC will be there

yes the letters ZC are on the motor thanks it runs good but it has trouble starting and its not the starter or the battery. some times it will start but some times it cranks very very slowly i think there is a battery drain somewhere how hard would it be to change the wiring harness under the hood. just the motor harness and how much am i lookin to spend. im a mechanic but new to the imports where would be a good place to get the harness without killin my pockets?? new battery and alternator put in recently

also im talking to a guy on e bay he says that he has a dohc system for the ZC motor will it work on my ZC motor?? and can you tell me what motor it is as of b16 d16 ect?? and is the motor worth keeping or should i do another swap to a 1.8 integra motor?? not sure

You connot put something from a DOHC engine you have a single cam you should looks for parts for the zc or from the d16 they are the same
