Default bogging cold engine

when i start driving with a cold engine (warmed up for about a minute usually), it will start jerking, and if i try to hold my rpms at 2500-3k rpms it will stay there for a couple seconds and violently drop and resume. but when the engine is warmed up it doesn't do this? im thinking 02 sensor maybe...

also sometimes when i push my fully warmed up engine to redline it will violently cough at like 6k rpms... dont know if this is a related issue or not...

95 del sol, jdm d15b - i/h/e, chip

thanks in advance, i searched but my scenario seemed a little unique.

im going to clean my iacv to eliminate that as a possibility.

fyi recently changed oil, problem started a little after that. nothing out of the ordinary. i added a little too much oil on accident though.

Sounds like a fitv (fast idle thermo valve), it probably sticking. Thats usually where the bukcing comes from. Im partially dealing with this problem myself at the moment.

Too much oil can cause ya to spin bearings so hopefully you corrected that.

you used 5-30 right?

cleaned FITV/IACV problem persists. it does it with a cold engine but seems to get a little better when its at operating temp. and it doesn't bog when at WOT... what could it be? vacuum leak? fuel pressure? dizzy?
