DA front brake upgrade - 3540 prop valve from what car?
Hey guys,
I have a 89 crx hf with upgraded front DA brakes (with mc and booster) and stock drum rear brakes. I've been reading up about brakes and people recommend the 3540 prop valve with this setup, which comes from the 90-91 civic 4 dr ex...
Now ideally I would just like to find this at the junkyard, but it's rare to see the 4 dr ex there. Buying it from the stealership is too much. My question is if anyone knows what other hondas / acuras came with the 3540 prop valve? I've heard older accords or preludes might have it but not sure...
Thanks in advance.

40/40 would be correct if he had rear discs. drums call for a different prop valve, OP is on the right track.

Not really, the 35/40 works better on the CRX since the weight dist is different than the DA teg. 4040 will lock the rear disk on EF's in some scenarios.
Put bigger brakes on the front or a heavier motor swap, you WILL want more front bias of the 35/40, trust.
Don't believe the hype and recommend 40/40 just because everyone else does, test it like I have make your own decision.
