Best distributor opinion???
I was going to go with a distributor king one until I read comments on this message board about recent problems with them. So what do you guys suggest. I have a 94 GSR motor and my distributor bearings are going bad. Thanks in advance
If you are just using this for a street car, then I think any generic brand from AutoZone, Advance, Pep Boys or whatever should be fine.
If you want something that you know will be a nice product (or for racing) then I would buy an OEM one from Honda or get an aftermarket one from King Motorsports.

Stay away from distributor king!
OEM Honda distributors suck. They're one of those few things that Honda didn't get right, ie seatbelts, headlights.
If I had a GSR I would personally get the MSD distributor and external coil. It's going to run you the same price as brand new OEM.
They don't make one for my motor but I'm converting to distributorless.

[freak] that external coil. the stock ignition is good to about 300 hp. unless your going way over that, i'd stick with stock.

Have you seen OEM dizzy do this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2206803
You're a fool if you think an MSD dizzy w/ an external coil is better than an OEM dizzy for a DD or an all motor build, or even a sub 300 whp FI build.

Yeah, I don't think I would trust an MSD distributer (at least for a Honda). However, their other equipment is very good. I run the stock (OEM) distributer with an external MSD coil and ignition box (SCI-L, essentially the 6AL box). It works much better than the stock igniter, plus gives a more reliable rev limiter.
