Default Relocating Deck?

can somone show me a DIY on how to relocate my deck to where the slot near my cupholders are? its a 96 civic dx hatch and ive been wanting to do this for a while. Thanks

its really easy, you dont have to extend any wires or and kind of work like that. All you do is take your head unit out, and pull the wires down to the cup holding then install the radio down there. The radio bolts in with now problem down there. It should take you about 30 mins.

oo cool thanks. can i use the slot i take out of the cupholder area and use it where i had my deck at? so i dont have a hole up there?

OHh thats exactly what im trying to do. haha. soo u got the blockoff plate from a local honda dealership? do they sell those regularly? cause i asked a local dealership and they didnt have alot of stuff for my civic

You can use that slot/pocket about your cup holder for your oem radio slot, but there is going to be a 1/4 opening at either the top or bottom. Its just a little so short to fill up the entire opening where your radio use to sit.

yeah the guy at the dealership pulled up the diagram of the 96-98 dash and found the part for me, so they ordered it and it took a few days to come in.

no prob. oh and you have to take out the center console so that you can get to the metal brackets that hold your cup holder in, And you bolt the head unit that the metal brackets

I believe the blockoff plate is listed under the '96-'98 CX hatch, which from the factory didn't have a radio.

Usually the dealer will have to order out parts for your car.

Items such as lips, mud guards, floor mats and other optional parts might be discontinued.
