Default Clutch Jumping!!!

97 EK with b18c....shifting into gears sometimes makes the car jump. i'll try to explain best i can.

push in clutch...give gas...let off clutch...*rev..rev..rev..*...push clutch in...
re-engage...rpms are normal.

this happends in first and second. it doesnt happen even shift but just about. doesnt matter if car is warmed up or cold start from overnite park.

basically when this happends the car does not gain speed...it feels like if your stopped..pop it in first, give it gas then press the clutch down again, like when cars at the track get ready for the green. how u see them rock back and forth cuz they are somewhat engaging first gear then letting off.

that happends to me in first and second and its NOT intentional.

this sounds weird reading it haha please help if you can.

thanks

it might be the clutch.... since it would cause you to do this... what rpm are you releasing the clutch at?

that might be your problem. a stage 2 clutch is really pointless unless you pushing 200hp. Or i would make sure the clutch was installed prop

stage 2398746 doesn't mean anything. it's just a relative term used for advertising clutches with varying amounts of clamping pressure. one company's stage 2 might hold more than another company's stage 3. plus it doesn't matter what kind of clutch is in there as long as a) it was installed properly, b) it's capable of holding the torque being transferred through it, and c) it's not worn out.
