VSS stopped working..again!
Alright ive got a 93 civic ex with the stock z6, awhile back my vehicle speed sensor went out so i got a new one, put it in and it worked great, after 3 months of the car sitting, the VSS doesnt work now (speedometer and odometer dont work)..any ideas why after only 4 months the vss would go bad?? and i read on here that VTEC won't engage if the vss is not working, is this true and applies to me????
my speedometer for some odd reason starts to work after i engage vtec. pretty weird huh? like when i start the car and drive it'll be at 0.....then it'll jump up and down like crazy from 40-100mph then once i hit vtec.....it'll perform at reg rpm.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. but that's my car. good luck

I had this issue a couple of years ago, it ended up being a corrosion problem. I cant remember if it was in an ecu plug, or at the fuse box. If that helps any.
