my rpm gauge is going crazy.......even the speedo gauge was moving,the car was idle........95 civic del sol.............any suggestions??

 

Check the distributor. Just a guess.

 

took it out ...put it back...same thing.......i'm thinking maybe a sensor...or the ecu

 

taking it out and putting it back i dont think will help. The rpm signal is gathered from the distributor so you probably need a new one.

 

The tach is controlled by the blue wire on the plug going to the distributor and is controlled by the ignitor card in the distributor. On of them could be bad and i also had a bad alternator cause my tach to do some crazy shi7!

 

problem solved............to all with this problem,be sure to check all ground wires,as this is where my problem was!!!!!!!!!!
