Default Old question but... Need a paint gun under $100

I have sprayed many car's in school but they supplied all the gun's and they were Sata and Iwata's. I am starting to have alot of people coming to me wanting paint work done and I have set up a paint booth at a buddy's house with an old furnace fan and furnace filters and plastic sheets. Ghetto but it works. My roommate has an Iwata but is being a dick and wont let me take it to the house I have the booth setup at. He sleeps with it under his pillow.

Anyway, I have been using a cheap shitty gun and I have to clear my girls Accord pictured below this week and need a decent gun. Plus I have a couple other small job coming up. 2 of the job's are Honda silvers which will be harder to spray with a cheap gun.

Now to my question, I'm looking at used guns on Ebay and there's alot of DeVilbiss guns going for around $50 or so. How are those with metallic paints? How about Mac and Matco and Snap On guns? Someone told me there all basically Sharpe guns. SO should I go with the DeVilbiss? Or should I spring for a Sata nr 2000 being as I don't do this for a living?

Also when I clear my girls Accord were doing some pink pearl in the clear. IS there something I need to keep in mind or do different with I spray pearl in the clear?

I've always "heard" good things about Devilbiss mid-range guns, but I've never used them. The NR2000 are great gun, what I use. The Iwata LPH though has a lower CFM rating/requirement so they are more ideal for home use, if you don't have a high CFM compressor. Try find a good used NR ot Iwata. That sucks your roomy is a wiener about using his gun. Quality guns are meant to be used repetitiously for years, no logic behind that if you clean it good.

Is the Sata NR 92 a primer gun? It's a green gun if that helps.

I have a gun I can use for primer. With that being said What size needle and fluid tip should I get? Should go as small as a 1.3 or stay around 1.5?

For base and clear, personally I prefer a 1.3 size.

Thanks for all of your help. I bought a Sata RP digital with a 1.4 head on Ebay for $174 and $12 shipping.

when you use the pearl use a intercoat clear for the pearl mix then spray reg. clear over it atleast 2 coats so you wont cut through if you need to to cut and buff
