92 Accord having trouble starting...
Hey guys my GF's 92 accord is having trouble starting earlier. She told me it wont start and She has to hold the key all the way over and keep holding it like that for it to run. As soon as she lets go of the key and it goes back the car will die. Anyone know the possible cause of this? Bad plugs/ wires? Bad starter?

My guess would be the ignition switch. They have been recalled in the past.

He specifically mentions the key needs to be held at a certain position or the engine dies. What would the fuel level or a tune-up have to do with that?
<<< Rant removed. Sorry Accord3955. Sometimes I can be a dumb @ss. >>>

Thanks for the update. BTW, all is not lost. You can still score a few points in the preventive maintenance department.
If it's an auto trans... with a warm idle, does the car vibrate in drive at a stop with the foot on the brake? The rubber in the front lower engine mount, because it's close to the radiator's heat and it takes a lot of the brunt from the engine torquing, usually dries out and cracks. Replacement isn't too difficult. Just don't bugger the radiator.
Also, follow the negative battery cable down to where it bolts to the transmission. If it's all scaled up with green and white crud, corrosion may have eaten away at several strands of the cable. This will eventually result in poor cranking because the battery can't deliver enough current to the starter motor.
And, if your girfriend has a lot of other keys and cutesy crap hanging on her key ring, suggest she get rid of them. The only things on the key ring should be the ignition key, house key, and the remote fob. All the other crap isn't going to do the new ignition switch any good as it hangs and bounces around.

Heres the problem I ran into, a mechanic pointed this out to me after the fact.
Over time, the cap on the dizzy doesnt seal properly, over time, moisture builds up in there and eventually just mucks everything up. Now everything may look okay, but the thing is with moisture is, it will eventually dissapate, leaving no trace detectable to the human eye.
Long story short, make sure your cap is sealed properly and tightened, but not too tight, you can even have just a hairline crack which will decrease the life of your entire dizzy by 50% due to residual moisture damage.
Hope this was informational.
