gsr engine

not sure if its my battery or alternator, when i go to start it, if i leave it too long without starting it, ill crank it like a few times, like 3 times and after that the battery will be drained and just click. it seems like hte battery is not getting charged as the engine is on. when im driving, it hesitates alil and at night when i have my lights on, i can see it flicker alil every 15 to 20 seconds. there are no CEL and i checked hte alternator fuse and it is still good. i havent had a chance to take hte battery to the autozone or hte alternator off i would just like input before purchasing a new battery or alternator. i have prblems like this before and it was one or the other.

 

Well for starters, take it to autozone, and they will test your battery load and your amps alt. for free.

I am running a UR crank pully on My lude, and at low RPMs with 80 amp alt, my lights dim. And at times my battery light comes on, but the electrical system works.

 

its odd because i never have my battery light come on when i have the car started and its idling or running

 

Clean the terminals and have the batt checked.
