My buddy just got done with a swap... d16y8 w/ z6 tranny in 93 civic. After hooking up the shift linkage the shifter was sitting far to the right I went over there to check it out but still cant figure it out? 1st gear is almost where 3rd should be and when in the middle (neutral) its slanted toward the passenger side... any suggestions? Thanks in advance

 

check the shifter seating which is #11 in the pic shown below and also check all the bushing and make sure #26 is tight and check all the bushing. and also check if the end of the shift rod and extension are hitting against chassis
