Front Upper Ball Joint Questions
I need new front upper ball joints for my 98 Prelude. I always thought you needed a whole new arm but I have found that I can get new aftermarked moog ball joints and press them into the existing arm. Has anyone ever done this before? I am a little concerned about doing this since Honda doesn't do it. Has anyone one done this with success? Another option I have is buying an inexpensive set of upper arms locally, they are made by "Chassis 1". I haven't heard about this manufacturer, are they any good? The last option is buying some adjustable camber ball joints. My car is lowered on Eibach springs, Sport lines I think. It doesn't seem like they lowered it much, so I wasn't sure if this route is necessary.
If anyone could offer me some advice I would appreciate it.

You might want to check that those ball jonits will fit. About 3 months ago I pickup new upper control arms, they werent that expensive. This dealer had the best price I could find. The arms on my lude (SH) are stamped steel with the ball joint and bushings all in one.

What are the recommendations for the upper ball joints? when I search online I find a multitude of different brands. I know that OEM is only available by purchasing the complete contral arm, which is crazy.
autopartswarehouse.com has three different brands. Moog, MevoTech, and Beck-Arnley.
They all appear to be high quality, but very different prices. Also, when I called Advanced Auto they had two different brands available.
Obviously I want something that fits OEM and doesn't cost a fortune.
Any recommendations?

The upper balljoints for the 4th gen from advance auto seem to be pretty common and liked,i will be going that route myself. But dunno if their be much of a difference in quality compareed to the 5th gen, their probbly pretty identical.
