Default replacing ball joint?

I need to replace my passenger ball joint. I got quoted at the dealership $160-170 for each front upper control arm. You have to buy the control arm they don't sell the ball joint apparently.

So I was wondering if I should just get a S2 or Blox front camber kit. I'm not sure, but these replaces the upper control arm right? Also does it come with the ball joints also?

I don't think they ship to canada. I was wondering if should just replaced it with a front camber kit like blox or S2.

If you're lowered yes. You're in the same position as me. I need to get mine replaced and I'll probably end up getting the S2's.

i just replaced my upper ball joints today. I bought 2 brand new upper ball joints on ebay for $32. It isn't hard at all to do and thats the cheapest way. There was also both left and right a-arms w/ ball joints for like $80.

yeah I would, but I'm in Canada and can't wait 2-4 weeks for the part to come. I'm probably going to get the aftermarket front camber kit that replaces the control arms. I'm planning to get coilovers so this will be an excuse to get some upgrades.

I wouldn't mess w/ camber kits. Too much of a hassle, much more expensive to get it aligned and dialed in, possibility of slipping, and they will most likely bang the shock towers or frame rails up under there.

I bought the pair of control arms off eBay for $80. They've been on my car for a little over a year now. The only problem I've had is the boot on the right side is already torn, but the joint itself still seems okay. I'm going to put the boot from my old upper arms when I get a chance.

The joints in that link above are the lower ball joints. I actually have one of those on my left lower and it's been working great. The blue polyurethane boot seems to be holding up well.

hmmm. I been hearing a lot about the camber kits banging up the shock towers. Kind of weary of that actually. I guess I'll just get the ebay ones. I'm always looking for things to change out with new parts, but I'll guess I save some moeny since it seems like it may cause me some problems. Thanks guys
