Default Knock in the Block! Help

Ok well recently ive had i slight knock on startup but only every once and a while.. 1 MAYBE 2 Knocks then regular idle... I also get the Knock on occasion on a slow take off like sometimes when i roll from 2nd but it only stays for like 1000 RPM...Is just a very slight knock almost like an exhaust leak sound. I took the oil pan off and checked things out. Everything looked ok down there and i shook the rod end caps...Each one only had about a hair of play...

I keep thinking its the rod bearings Can someone Please help me diagnose it...
and if it is the bearings is it possible to just change them since it such a little noise and not constant?

well usually sometimes once it warms up it will go away and is a typical symtom of the bearings, u might as well just drop the crank and repolish it and get new bearings

thanks alot civicstar...i know this may be the cheap way but i currently have no air compressor and will be unable to remove the crank pulley bolt so dropping the crank isnt much of an option at this point..
Would it be possible for me to just pull the bearings and lube/replace them with new ones?

I only have to drive this motor for like 2-4 more months...

well u can try that, if the bearing is the problem then that will fix it but if the crank is the issue, then u need to repolish and cut down and get oversized bearings. its up to u if u want to try
