Can some one tell me if i can use wiseco pistons on a 96 LS rod and if so what will i need to do. OR shoud i just get new rods like H beams or something? THANKS!

 

You can put them on a stock rod but aftermarket rods are such a good deal, why not upgrade?

 

get some H or I's so u can rev it higher and be more reliable

 

Okay ill upgrade the rods, Whats the diffrence between the H beams and the I rods? i heard the I rods are lighter and is not supposed to be used with any power adders. Is nitrous a power adder?

Yes.

 

i beams are lighter and is made for NA applications, H is for boost and nitrous

 

STOCK RODS work fine. I've used STOCK Rods with Wiseco pistons in my B20 CONSTANSTLY revving to 8400 rpms for 50min straight , racing in a SPEED World Challenge Touring Car race at Laguna Seca.

Changing the rod bolts is what's key.

Save your $$$ and put in good headwork...like from RLZ Engineering

 

Okay thanks everyone, im planning on getting a kit with wiseco pistons and H beam rods for $800 on ebay. My head is already built and whatnot, just need bottom end stuff which is pistons, rods, and maybe a girdle but i dont want to hunt for parts like oil pan and all the gsr oil crap.
