Default Good news, got the Wiseco pistons and the Eagle rods.

Good news, got the Wiseco 82.mm piston kit - 11.5 CR and the Eagle rods, today.

My engine rebuilt wil be done in the next 15 days.

My Tecnauto ( one of the best shops here in Portugal ) mechanic is gona port and polish the head and port the throttle body to 70mm.

Got a few more mods: Spoon street disk, Hondata gasket, ARP head studs, new oil pump and i´m planning to get the Greddy a/f metter kit and a oil cooler.

Lets hope, everything will be ok.

Thanks to Larry , from theoldone i got them really fast and clean.

remember, bigger fuel injectors and no speeding until you get tuned.

Wow 82 mm...what does that make his displacement if using stock rods and crank?

I got the B&M FPR and gauge. I also have V-AFC.

I always drive with 98 octane fuel, do you think i should get bigger injectors ?

I´m mechanic is planning to retard the timing, too.

I´m planning to get the Greddy A/F metter to tune it, cause there are no dynos here in Portugal with 02 wide band sensor.

I´ll post pics soon.

.....get a diy wideband if that's the case - much more accurate than the greddy unit.

Also: you will probably need bigger injectors anyway (i don't know your cam setup), maybe some 310's at a minimum? Octane is good, but won't prevent you not being able to supply enough fuel at higher rpms.....

a j&s wouldn't hurt either - if you are running around untuned.....

good luck this time.

i´m running stock cams.
I got the 11.5 CR pistons to prevent some problms.

The euro ITR already have 11.1 CR stock, like the JDM.
So, i think the euro ECU fuel maps are already diferent from the USDM.

I´m raising the CR just 0.4, like i´m using a 2 layer gasket.

I really don't understand why you're running such low compression pistons if you're going through all this trouble.

I just want to run safe.
It´s very hard to find god mechanics here in Portugal, that can handle and tune aftermarket parts for Acuras.

My Tecnauto mechanic is very good, he knows a lot about ITR´s but, he´s the best on scoobyes. You see, i´m afaid of new problems.

Since you have money to spend, you should have sgT do your motor..

You bet, i´m in Portugal.

If i whould be in US, sgT whould be the man.

sgT rules !!!

More thoughts on this ?

Bigger injectors to run this setup or B&M FPR and V-AFC will make it ?
I always use 98 octane gas.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I´ll post pics of the Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods later.
I already ordered the Greddy A/F metter warning kit from nippon power.

I hope i´ll be able to tune my engine properly with some acuracy with it.
There are no dynos here with wideband O2.

My mechanic told me today that i have to get all new valves.
Also 2 journals of crank are damaged, i´ll get all new crank journals.

Man, my mechanic told me that the rod journal are all blue, also the crank ones.

Let´s hope everything will work ok.

Sorry, it´s not the journals, it´s the bearings.

It´s the crankshaft bearings. All lower bearings need to be replaced, for safe.

Language mistake.

You should replace the bearings anyway. but if they wore down already then
you have other problems you need to figure out first.
