coil over Vs. progressive rate springs
what are the advantages and disadvantages to adjustable coilovers Vs progressive rate springs. can anyone help make this decision easier. it is a daily driver and there is winter where I live
coilover offers height adjustability, but alot of the time the sleeves are paired with junk springs or mismatched to the strut application...progressive rate springs are those that the rate increases exponentially according to how severly its compressed, they offer reasonablysmooth ride that soaks up bumps and undulating surfaces nicely but when loads are applied, they become more of a performer, stiff, etc. your best bet is to get progressive springs on a threaded body strut with dampening adjstment capabilities...progress group makes nice setup, i run it...

I dont think that this question is worded quite right, I think he means either 'linear' rate or 'progressive' rate, or he just wants to know if he should put adjustable coilovers(most likely using linear rate springs) or just performance springs(linear or progressive) on his car. Just my thoughts....
I understand progressive rate springs and that is what i meant. whats a linear rate spring? is it a normal OEM spring. Can you use progressive rate springs with adjustable coilovers
