How can I tell what type engine I have?
I have a 1995 Honda Accord Ex Coupe Vtec.
How can I tell what type engine I have?
I see so many types talked about on this site but I don't understand most of the conversation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

you can decode your VIN, or just go to autozone and tell them it's a accord lx/ex/wahtever civic dx/lx/ex/si/whatever. then they can tell you what motor you have. i mean, why get dirty just for that

As long as your car is from the US. Not sure where you are from but just in case you happen to be driving an Accord from Canada it is the DX, EX, and SE's have the Non-VTEC F22B2 and the EX-R has the VTEC F22B1.

Yes all the 6th gen I4's have the F23. We are talking about the 5th gen (94-97) I4's in this thread. The 6th gen Accords are a no brainer. If it has 4 cylinders it's an F23 if it has 6 it's not! Canada or US for 6th gens doesn't matter
