Default Timing belt change interval?

Quick question... How often should it be changed for a B18C5 motor? I'm at 54k and thinking it should be coming up.

90k is spec as far as I can recall. I've seen 110-120k on them before, but I'd replace around 90k or when the belt is damaged. You can inspect it and retension as needed when you do your valve adjustments.

Check service interval, it's in your owners manual.

Keep in mind they have a shelf life as well. I believe Honda recommends 7 years, or xxx KMs. I had to change my timing belt last summer because of time ... I was nowhere near the recommended miles.

I have a swap out of a T-boned PY ITR in my Civic so I never got a manual for it. That's the reason I'm asking here. I'll probably change her out at 60K. Thanks guys.

Yeah, how come nobody actually bothers to look it up? It's in the service manual as well as the owner's manual. Of course, you can do it before the recommended interval, or after the recommended interval, or even not at all - it's your car - but it's useful to know what Honda recommends. Want to know what is recommended in the manuals?

'94 USIM Integra Service Manual (covers '97 ITR) says 90K miles or 6 years, whichever comes first. No difference for severe conditions.

'98 USIM Integra Service Manual (covers '98-01 ITR) says 105K miles or 7 years, whichever comes first. It also says 60K miles if the vehicle is regularly driven at temperatures over 110 degrees F or under -20 degrees F.

My 2000 ITR has 89k Km's. I'm getting the timing belt changed next week.
Better be safe then sorry!

The Acura dealer here also said 100k miles or 7 years, whichever comes first. I'm due for a change, because 7 years has come and gone.
