I HAVE A 96 EX COUPE ITS ATOMATIC
I WAS DRIVING IT THE OTHER DAY AND THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON AND WHEN I WOULD BRAKE IT MAKE A CLINKING NOISE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY CAR. NOW THE CAR IS DEAD IT WONT GO ANYWHERE BUT STILL MAKES THE CLINKING NOISE ANYONE NOW WHAT IS WRONG?

 

So did your car shut off while driving or did it not start after you shut it off???

 

try pulling a code, my srs came on once but my car was trying to throw a code.

 

ok, but im trying to go through a process of elimination here. because you may have more than one problem. i just need to know how the car acted before it did not start up again. did it just shut off while it was on or did you shut it off and than it didnt start. also will it crank? and crank strong??

 

the car was fine before the srs light came on
the car drove for a while after the light and crinkling came on then today as i was driving it it died on me when i was on the road. it could be more than one problem when i gased it or braked it made the crinkling noise under the car somewhere

crinkling????? crinkling to me would indicate liquid falling onto your exhaust piping and sizzling... how are your fluid levels?? was anything leaking??
