JDM D15 question
I have a 92 civic hatch that has the stock d16z6 in it and the motor has developed a bad knock so i was going to replace the motor i called a shop today and the said i should do the jdm d15 swap. they said its comparable to the z6 except for the JDM motor has a hotter cam and higher compression. I was hoping that i could get some info from you guys on here if any of you have used this motor and how well you like it. Any help would be great. Thanks

and it should have relatively low miles compared to any z6 you will find around. I would swap it in if you are looking to stay with a sohc motor

They're being straight with you. I'm not sure if anyone has determined conclusively that the cam is more aggressive, but there is a slightly higher compression ratio.
