skunk2 struts and lowering springs on my EG, do i need the cut the bumpstop?

skunk2 struts and lowering springs on my EG, do i need the cut the bumpstop?
the new struts come with a bumpstop, is that right for the lowering springs? i see alot of people that do suspension use the stock one and cut it in half, should i do this or is that thing ready to go? thanks!
