hey all, i am in the market for a temporary suspension setup on a budget for my 4dr eg, im concidering skunk2's but, have heard they ride too bouncy. Does anyone here personally have them on OEM or aftermarket shocks because i would like to know what kind of ride quality should i expect from them. i can somewhat believe this because everything skunk2 makes is weekend racer intended.

i would greatly appreciate some feedback cause if it is true ill just turn to tein s-tech's for a DA application since they have the same spring rate as the EG application but they drop about 2" all around if not a tad bit lower.

I have skunk2 springs on my car now. They are a little bouncy but I don't mind dailying them at all. Im actually in the market now for something stiffer. Not bad at all, I have them with the skunk2 shocks.

We've had s2's drop springs on both of my friends rides, the ones on the eg was a little soft and his 17's would rub in a tight turn. But on the ek he has they ride really good and i havnt heard the wheels rub yet. I dont know why chassis would make that much of a difference, but thats my opinion on them. They're good, i liked them

i have them on my car and my car does not bounce at all i know i need new shocks maybe its the reason y but i like them

the difference probably lies in the fact that they probably have stiffer springs rates for EK than they do for EG's

im seriously lookin into them or s-techs for DA's but i need something a lil comfy

i have rs*r springs on my stock shocks...they are a little bouncy but its because my shocks. i have the same ones on my eh2 and my ej8...the shocks are blown on the hatch but still ride good. so your taking a risk...but it is actually not as bad as you would think. you honestly cant tell if they are blown or not. lol

yeh i know, im back to square one with this 4dr, i started with skunkworks sleeves for my previous project (jdm DC) and ended up with tein one piece so for now i just want some springs to have the car atleast sittin nice while i piece together a motor and some goodies. i think i just might end up with the tein s-techs just cause i know they ride good from experience(two of my buddies ride s-techs on OE shocks, an evo and a 07tl-S and they ride almost as good as factory springs)and are very friendly with OEM shocks since from what im gathering skunks arent very OE friendly

if your looking for low...not slammed but close to tucking...i would not recommend the s-techs. i had them on my hatch and almost daily people told me to lower my hatch. i was like it has tein s-tech springs. the rs*r's i have now ride so great and they look awesome and they are reasonably shock friendly. my shocks on the hatch (which 3 of them blew) were about 15 years old. so you might be ok or you might not be.

well im not going with the EG application s-techs which drop 1.8 FR and 1.6R, im going with the DA application which has the same spring rate as the EG one's do but drop the car an even 2" all around which would leave me fender meets tire if not slightly tucking after they settle

i still dont think i would take the chance. but hey man its your car. IMO the rs*r's ride better than the s-techs.

how so? in firmness? sus feedback? which model RSR are you talking about cuz the ones ive seen dont go any lower than 1.8 in the FR and i think 1.00 in R

No they're not bouncy at all. I have them on my EJ8 and they're real good.

im not sure which model...they are blue thats all i know. i have 2 sets. they are pretty stiff and i think they ride better than the s-techs and stock springs. they are pretty stiff but dont knock your teeth out hittin bumps. and you really cant tell anything by that stuff...it lowers it quite a bit. i can post pics of my coupe up if you would like.
