i will be going down the road and my speedometer will just drop to 0 and few minutes it comes back up ... the car runs fine just the speedometer ... please help

 

check the cable

 

check screws too.

 

it depends on what year your car is and what model it is specifically. I had the same thing happen to me, and it turned out to be the speed sensor. The bracket on it that the bolt goes through to attach it to the block broke, and the sensor was just jumping around.

 

check the vss plug, might be dirty.
also check your cluster connections.

 

its a 95 4 door lx with a 99 dx hatch back engine in it

 

if its the spedomiter id check the cable.

if its the tach id check the igniter in the disributor.

 

coould be the speed senser
