Don't forget to get the ECU reflashed to your key.

Yes it has a wideband sensor. You're better off putting a wideband sensor in the 02 motor and using the harness thats already snaked through the car.

im receiving (for free) a 02 lx engine harness and ecu from a member at 7thgenhonda because the donor car i got my parts off was a ex and i cant use its wire harness or ecu because i don't have the a2 motor. im using a trans from an 03 civic along with the original engine in my 04. is it possible to just buy a 04 lx m/t ecu and use the auto harness or would i have to get a 04 engine harness as well? also can i use the dash harness from the 03 ex on my 04 lx?

I am now thoroughly confused. Can you retype that in list form.....
Part - Year - Model

You can use an auto harness, there will be unused plugs. You can keep the LX harness and pin VTEC into it, or you can keep the 04 harness and put a wideband sensor in the motor.
Until I understand what is from what car, I cant say much more.

alright
-i have a 04 lx
-i purchased a salvaged 03 ex to do the swap
-i swapped ONLY the trans from the 03 ex into my 04 lx
-i took the engine harness and ecu out of the 03 ex and traded it for a 02 lx engine harness and ecu

soo... could i purchase a 04 lx m/t ecu (so i can keep the wideband) and use the auto harness i already have in the car, or will i have to purchase a 04 lx engine harness aswell?

Get an ECU, leave the tranny plugs unhooked and run the wideband. I'm pretty sure it'll work because the ECU isnt pinned for it anyways.

ah i see. so pretty much the a/t and m/t harnesses are the same, just with or without the extra tranny sensors? also how would i wire the reverse lights if i do keep the a/t harness.
