Default Distributor Question ( Fuel Mileage )

I have a 1993 Honda civic Si, I recently had to change my ignitor coil in my distributor and I was wondering if the timing of the distributor or the placement of it would affect your fuel economy?...I was just asking because one of my buddy's was telling me he heard something like that.

Default Re: Distributor Question (Civic_07)

if you left the dizzy on the head when you replaced the ignitor it still has the original timing it was set at. if you took the dizzy off and didnt make a reference mark as to where it was then you should adjust it to factory specs which should be on the sticker under the hood.
