hey- i have a quick question about my car overheating. i recently purchased a mishimoto radiator and installed it myself. I filled up the radiator and started the car and drove it for a bit. before it got too hot, i opened the cap to check the coolant level and put in more coolant. then i filled the resevoir tank to the max fill line. now, driving around town without stepping on the gas at all, the car doesn't overheat, but once i hit the gas and get the motor revving a bit, it starts to overheat. then when i go to park the car and the fan comes on, the engine temp gauge shows the car to cool down again. my question is: is there a bleeder valve that i needed to open to bleed the air out? or is it something more serious like my headgasket? please guys. need help. oh yeah, i drive an em1 turbo. lmk-i'm desperate for answers. thanks in advance!

 

I dont know for your engine, but my bleeder screw is on the upper hose housing that is bolted to the engine. I hope that makes sense. But I have a B18B1. I had the same problem until I asked H-T and got an answer

 

so i unscrew the screw and it'll bleed. then i start the motor and it should run fine?

or you can starts the car with the cap off, and run the heater at full level for a few minutes. it will cycle everything through.
