What should i replace while tranny's out?
Hey i just bought a 98 civic dx, and i'm replacing the transmission. I was wondering what kind of seals or bearings typically go bad and what I should replace. I noticed on the new tranny, when you spin the shaft forward/backward, it kind of clicks....idk if this is normal. Help is greatly appreciated
yes, change the main seal under the flywheel... it costs few bucks, it is very easy to replace...
Also, like someone mentioned above, replace the clutch (plate, disk and the bearing)
Don't foget to apply the high-temp grease... here's the picture where it sould be applied
