sharp metallic sound in vtec.
A little help here...
I removed the valve cover, and cut it to make way for the new cam gears.
I stopped short of completing the cam gear install and put everything back.
Now when in vtec, I hear a sharp metallic sound like I'm in need of a valve adjustment.
Any idea what this is?

Well, U've just created a SOURCE for sound pressure to escape the valve cover which is transmitted to your ears... Assuming you've installed everything correctly I would not worry too much about it.
Has anyone who has done this modification experience this?

Is it possible that I moved something?
Will moving the cams while trying to loosen the gear bolt hurt anything?
It almost sounds like I need a valve adjustment, although it's a higher pitch.
It's hard to believe the cover trapped all that sound...
Does anyone else with the upper timing belt cover removed hear this?
thanks!
