hey guys,

Anyone heard of a suspect batch from buddyclub on the spec 4 cams?
for a b-series motor?

There were rumours they had a defect batch at one stage that made minimal power? How true is this?

 

If there was not a rumor before, there is now.
I have not heard that one.

well mine says A and a 4 on the cam side closest dizzy

Is this def spec 4?

 

i think the a's are the preferred batch actually

 

its not a rumor, the bc4's stamped "b" make less power

 

oh god this is like the Samsung flat panel 206bw A S and C panels thing but for cars....

i researched it for days and i have the link on my old laptop, i can dig it up for you but i remember most of the info if you want me to pm you

With regards to the topic, i have heard this before, but never documented it to be true for myself.

Both of my Spec 4's said "A" on the ends. I've never heard of them having a "4" on them. I've heard this rumor before about there being two different sets. The other batch of Spec 4's said "B" on both ends I believe. Seems fishy and suspect to me. When I began my search for a set, I insisted on a set that said "A" on both ends just to be sure. The A's sure as hell make power, but can't vouch for the B's.

i feel inclined to delete this thread. Rumors are typically full of misinformation

Well being as it was a rumor started by TBone (I believe)...there must be something behind it. It doesn't make sense to me why there are two totally different labeled Spec 4's....the "A" sets and the "B" sets.

i think buddy club just makes moves differently. i mean bc3's exist, but can u find a set anywhere. right now u can only find 3+'s (which are stamped "T")

 

i have emailed buddy club but no reply as yet
im in australia so i havent called
