got a p30 with the b16a2 im swappin, and i wanna put an old laptop to use. Theres a small block of 5 surface mount pads marked 'CN2', and some1 told me i may be able to wire up a usb plug and get some software, obv bein able to tune it by the road will hav advantages, Can ne1 shed any light on this, wether its possible and if so what software i shuld use?

 

it is acutally the chip that u are tunning and u need to solder a socket onto that p30 ecu first. is your p30 ecu stock and never been opened or it is been chipped before ? p30 ecu is more complicated to tune than chipped p28 or chipped p06 ecu

rite i think its a jdm p30 cus ive seen a thread posted by egb16pg called 'jdm p30 ecu' and hes got a pic posted which looks exactly like mine, i wulda posted my own pics but pc wuldnt let me 4 sum reason, its a p30-950 if that helps
