Default cheap upgrades

First off, I have a 97 Accord 4-cyl. I just wanted to know what are some basic, suspension wise, things I could do to the car. I don't want to do anything spectacular, just a little something extra. Thx.

springs are a great way to go, stiff progressive rate would be desireable

I would prefer some TEIN flexes or some Koni yellows andGC's

It will be a different car either way

High performance handling by motorbooks is a good reasource to give some goo info about what will give you best results; bang for the buck etc...

If I was to get some springs, would I also have to buy something else to go along with it. Would the stock suspension work well along with the springs? Thx.

I've read from the FAQ that the Eibach ProKit springs are good for stock suspensions. Are there other recommendations out there as far as springs for stock suspensions?

If I could only upgrade one thing, which should I get first, shocks or springs? Which would you recommend? I don't need anything fancy since this is car is a driven daily, with about 80 miles on the highway each day. I am not gonna take it to the track, autox or anything, just using it on the streets. Thx.
